Footprints Nature Club. Hiking in Lebanon every Sunday since 2009.

Take nothing but pictures. Kill nothing but time. Leave nothing but footprints.

Guided day hikes from Beirut to the cedars, valleys and villages of Lebanon, with certified guides, a comfortable bus and a group that has been walking together for seventeen years.

Every Sunday, a new trail.

Our latest trips, newest first. Open one to see the photos, the distance and how to book. Next Sunday's trip is announced midweek on WhatsApp, Facebook and the app.

A club built on trust, one Sunday at a time.

Footprints was founded on 18 October 2009 by a handful of friends who wanted to escape Beirut every weekend. It grew into one of Lebanon's most active hiking clubs: hundreds of trips, twenty volunteer guides and a mobile app for reservations.

Hiking is our heart, and we also guide mountain climbing, rappelling, snowshoeing, caving, camping and more. Our guides hold certificates from international organisations and Red Cross emergency training.

A slower kind of trip. Every Thursday we visit a different Lebanese village: old souks, hidden churches, stone houses, local artisans, a gentle walk and an optional lunch at a guesthouse.

  • Weekly, a different village each time
  • A light hike or guided walk through old streets
  • Crafts, traditions and flavours of the region
  • Family-friendly and relaxed. Places are limited.

What to bring on Sunday

Tick things off as you pack. Your list is saved on this device.

Three rules on the bus and the trail

  1. No smoking, from the moment you board the bus until we are back in Beirut, breaks included.
  2. Fill in the hiker's profile form before your first hike. We hand it out on the bus.
  3. Tell us about any medical condition and bring the medication you usually take.
